Demanding Truth, Justice and Accountability in Government

Who Will Judge This Administration?

keenekarl

In the course of human events there have been peoples and nations who have risen up to judge and halt the wrong actions of corrupt leaders and their governments.

In World War II the United States and its allies rose up to judge and halt the imperialistic aggressions and human rights violations of Germany, Italy and Japan.

Now we live in a time when many nations of the world are becoming allied in their hatred and disgust over the imperialistic aggressions and violations of human rights being perpetrated by the United States government.

As our leaders persist in their wrong ways it only serves to inflame the anger of such people and nations! If history can be trusted, there will reach a point when these people and nations will finally have had enough! When this time comes they will inevitably take actions in an attempt to bring a halt to our wrong ways! Our nation could face violence and war on a scale we have never yet seen!

But we have a chance to avoid such a fate - a space of grace, if you will. We can avoid increased future conflict if we can elect leaders in November who will proceed in stopping the wrongs of this administration!

We can judge ourselves!

Are there enough of us with good judgment - good enough to see the wrong path this President has taken?

The polls would give us hope. But will this translate into a change for the better? Are there enough of us to elect representatives to Congress who will challenge, investigate and put an end to the horrid policies of this administration? It may be our only hope - our only way to avoid being judged and corrected by other people and nations.

History has proved that no nation, no matter how great and powerful, is invulnerable! We cannot afford to be the world’s #1 Enemy!

Let us learn the lessons of history, lest - like Germany and Japan - we become victims of our own pride and arrogance!

Thank you, Alma. Your report from the campaign front lines in Michigan proves that Keith Olbermann isn't the only progressive in this country who knows how to inspire people. This should be a Kos diary.

Get busy Midigit! Soapbox readers want to know.

I agree that it should be a Kos diary. Let us know when you post it, don't be a SneakyGirl.

Attention Michigan residents! You are not experiencing an earthquake, those tremors rattling every window between Marquette and Detroit are due to Midigit's husbandly activities, which are not likely to abate until Paragraph 10 requires an update and several exclamation points.

WOW. This virus I have must be worse than I thought. I don't even remember putting that line in the article about my Hubby and me heading off to do the wild thing. But since I obviously promised.....you'll be the first to know. ;)

Alma, this is so wonderful -- from the heart, uplifting -- inspiring motivation and participation at such events. I agree wholeheartedly, we should each make a concerted effort to attend these rallys when we can. I agree, too, that this should be on KOS.

P.S. Amazing how some things get "tucked" in serve as another kind of inspiration. Thanks for letting us know. ;)

If you all want me to cross post it, I will, but I don't know if paragraph 10 needs to be in there. Thats just for my Soapbox buddies.

#6 Alma. Congratulations! Dang, I'm jealous! :) Midigit, good work there, evidently. ;)

WooHoo Alma (& Midgit too!). Great Post--thanks for reporting about the jobs rally. Sounds like a good time was had by all, even at the Rally ;-)

Re: your comment #8--you might want to consider leaving in Para #10--I think it might help boost the attendance at dem political rallies...

Unspun has a good point. I think Paragraph 10 deserves it's own Kos diary, Alma, so you could maybe set it aside for now and post the rest of the article on Kos.

I hope the Big Dog sues Disney/ABC back to the Stone Age. I also hope Alma gets to be on the jury.
