Demanding Truth, Justice and Accountability in Government

Depraved Republicans Coddle Pedophile

Rusty

The utter depravity of the Republican Party has now been laid bare for all the world to see. A Republican sexual predator stalked the halls of Congress for a year and his fellow Republicans did nothing. Hastert knew about him, Boehner knew about him. At least six other Republican congressmen knew about him, yet instead of acting immediately to protect young pages from this menace, they conspired for a year to conceal and cover-up the crimes of that perverted hypocrite, Mark Foley.

How much lower does the Republican Party have to sink into the slime before this nation, the corporate media, and the Democratic Party finally understand that this bizarre cult called the GOP is a despicable pack of criminally incompetent, sadistic, racist, pathological liars incapable of running a car wash, much less the government of the United States?

If this horror show of Republican pedophilia doesn’t stun this nation into loathing for the Republican Party, nothing will. Americans will turn the channel when daily clips of carnage in Iraq are broadcast, they’ll shrug about genocide in Darfur, they’ll frown briefly whenever they hear about corruption in Washington, but this is SEX. This is a family values, troop supporting, Bush loving, liberal bashing Republican who also happens to have written 35 pages of lurid e-mails and nauseating instant messages soliciting sex from minors. Brace yourselves, Republicans, you are about to crash and burn in a political train wreck I am really going to enjoy watching.

Remember Monica? Paybacks are a bitch, aren't they?

Undaunted by Foley’s sordid stalking of children to satiate his perversions, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has already rushed to salute Foley and issued one of the most sickening statements I’ve ever seen: “Congressman Mark Foley’s resignation is a great loss to Florida and the nation. He has been a hard-working, dedicated and effective Congressman. He will be missed.”

Say Hello to the Coddlers of Pedophiles at the NCMEC

Spin THIS, Tony Snow. If you can spin this without puking all over your Press Room podium, you win the Depraved Republican Asshole Award for the next ten years. Democrats, take this issue and nail it to every Republican’s forehead for the next 37 days. John Lausch, you are about to receive a LOT of contributions, and you deserve every nickel for having the courage to run against Dennis Hastert before anyone knew he would break the world’s record for political suicide.

There is a God.

I'm due for sending another one myself.

Thanks for the reminder, Rusty. Nothing could be more important than letters to the editor. Just do it, folks! Don't worry about how perfect they are, just get them out! The more the better, especially since media controlled newspapers will be promoting the Republican agenda.

Comment # 3 ~ tahoebasha1 ~ 09/15/2006 02:19 GMT

Thank you for the expression of our urgent need to counter all that we, in reality, expected, i.e., the spin, the fear-mongering, the total twists of all that we are confronted with. I couldn't agree more that the use of LTE's is probably the only salient effort we can make to counter ALL of the sewage we are being fed. If hundreds of us were to flood our local newspapers with contestations to each of the pitiable points made by Rove and the GOP, we COULD make great impressions -- for the bulk of the populace is, indeed, ignorant as to the facts. Please, everyone, WRITE, WRITE, WRITE, even if you have reservations about your writing ability, it doesn't matter. What matters is -- speak your mind and GET THE WORD OUT!

Truly, Bush & Co. have revealed to us what an Anti-Christ really is like!

Rusty, you did a nice job illustrating some of their anti-Christ-like traits.

Letters to the editor and a consistent voice on the web will continue to shed light on this administration's hypocrisy and credibility gap.

Keith Olbermann (this week on his show "Countdown") posed this question to Jonathan Alter, senior editor of Newsweek :

"How much of that presumption of governmental credibility remains?"

Alter replied: "I'd say between zero and none, at least as far as the media goes, and I think ANY SENTIENT American at this point, they've lost their credibility many, many times over."

Yes, the secret's out - and let's keep it out there for everyone to see: Bush and his cronies are lying liars and hypocritical in-name-only "Christians"!

Keep driving this message home and we just might see the change we've been hoping for come November!

Rusty, You draw parallel lines so clear that a second grader could see the logic. Only the delusional could not see your point. Or 31 million neophytes of the church of BushCo.

Comment # 6 ~ Reed31463 ~ 09/16/2006 17:17 GMT

They think money is going to buy them the majority. They have another thing coming. Americans can see the evil they represent.

Comment # 7 ~ Patriot ~ 09/16/2006 17:18 GMT

"Bush and his Republicans are not warriors for freedom". They hate freedom. They are taking it away from us and giving a victory to the terrorists who hate our freedom, too.

Comment # 8 ~ keenekarl ~ 09/16/2006 17:19 GMT

Bush just keeps repeating the same old lies because it has worked for him in the past! With media complicity, his lies have taken on the form of truthiness! When the lemming masses accept as fact anything they see or hear on the news - truth itself becomes a rare commodity!

It dawns on me that maybe BushCo belong to a totally unknown, "secret" concept of Christianity. Because, as so well pointed out, there is nothing in their Christian beliefs that resembles any Christian knowledge that I possess.

Sorry, whoops!

Comment # 13 ~ keenekarl ~ 09/16/2006 17:21 GMT

Freedom to think may not be a stated constitutional right, but many Americans long ago surrendered this right and responsibility.

How many years until your child at home will be targetted for Iraq? Or maybe it will be Iran by the time he or she turn 18. If you have children, the Bush Army wants them in the middle east to continue their drive for power.

"Bush and his Republican cult in Congress worship power far more than they worship God." Now that's a fact! And because money = power, they worship that too!

Comment # 19 ~ Alma ~ 09/16/2006 17:24 GMT

I could use some help with my LTE. RUSTY...I'm yelling for your help.

Comment # 20 ~ keenekarl ~ 09/16/2006 17:27 GMT

But the Repugs aren't stupid - They know that a large majority of Americans worship money and material things more than they do God.

The September 18 issue of Time has as its headline article: "Does God Want You To Be Rich? - Yes, say some megachurches. Others call it heresy. The debate over the gospel of wealth." In my opinion, the article points out how materialism and greed (top Republican traits) have poisoned the right wing churches who so closely support the Repugs. The Repug theology of greed and materialism is a leaven that has spread to these churches because of their close association with each other.

Comment # 26 ~ keenekarl ~ 09/16/2006 17:48 GMT

These "prosperians" have demonized being poor - that people who are poor deserve to be poor because they have done wrong in some way - so why should we help them? In this way they justify their selfishness. It's the same thing they have done with AIDS. But what about all of the children and people who have AIDS or are poor because of someone else's choices? Jesus Christ didn't condemn the sick and the poor -He fed them and healed them! No - these Prosperians are not Christians!

I truly despise them for what they have done to me and my family. I used to be happy and now I am consumed with fighting for good. Will I ever be happy again? I do not know.

(OOPS!) Rusty MUST be busy writing those letters to the editor.

Comment # 31 ~ keenekarl ~ 09/16/2006 18:36 GMT

Self-indulgence leads to intentional ignorance. When people become so totally immersed in how to indulge their desires, they do not want to hear about "problems". They close their eyes to the truth because the truth would require that they deny self and help solve problems.

Comment # 32 ~ keenekarl ~ 09/16/2006 18:59 GMT

For our pseudo-Christian leaders and those who follow them, here is what the Bible says about such lying liars and those who love them: "They refuse to love the truth and accept it. So God will make sure that they are fooled into believing a lie. All of them will be punished, because they would rather do evil than believe the truth." (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12)

Comment # 33 ~ keenekarl ~ 09/16/2006 19:15 GMT

And they won't be able to blame anyone but themselves for the problems that come upon them! There are consequences for ignoring the truth and doing what is wrong! Proverbs 1:31-32 says: "Now you will eat the fruit of what you have done, until you are stuffed full with your own schemes. Sin and self-satisfaction bring destruction and death to stupid fools." It's the law of cause and effect!

Those are devastating biblical quotes you posted, KeeneKarl. All of these Republicans who wave their Bibles around so much ought to read it sometime.

It would be great to see a Forum LTE with all of your thread comments incorporated into it, KeeneKarl.
