One Young Page and One Journalist

Lost in all of the frenzied coverage of PredatorGate is one fundamental reality: one young page and one courageous journalist have inflicted more damage on the Republicans in only three days than two-hundred plus Democrats in Congress have inflicted in six years.
How pathetic is that? What does that tell us about the Democratic Party in this age of Rovian Fascism?
The Republican leadership is in meltdown and Republicans all over the country are in panic mode. Why? Because 2 Americans, count 'em, 2 Americans told the ugly truth about a powerful Republican and backed it up with the facts.
Brian Ross of ABC, and a young page who may not even be old enough to vote yet, may have saved American democracy.
Peeking out from behind a page and a skinny reporter, some Democrats have momentarily expressed outrage and have even run a few ads asking for an explanation from Republicans.
I'm not impressed. There's no reason I should be.
Tell the truth, Democrats. Every Republican in Congress has been obstructing justice for six years and lying about it. Obstruction of justice is a CRIME. They are lying criminals.
Say so. It's the truth.
Stop trotting out carefully phrased euphemisms. Stop behaving like moral cowards and start acting like leaders.
Do you believe in Constitutional democracy? Do your oaths of office mean anything at all to you? Will you fight to defend the Constitution and the rule of law with the same urgency and passion and tireless determination Netroots activists have?
One page and one journalist have the Republican Party dazed and on the ropes. Throw the knockout punch, Democrats. Do it now.

After your fine list of George W. Bush's crimes, how can anyone NOT question the moral basis of what he has been doing?
Yet Mr. Bush has insisted that it is wrong to think that there can be any comparison between the terrorists and what his warring activities!
Mr. Bush has said that his war is against those who would kill and mutilate innocent men, women and children to attain their political objectives - yet he has been responsible for actions that have led to the death of thousands of innocent men, women and children to attain his political objectives!
