Demanding Truth, Justice and Accountability in Government

Rabid Right Wing Radio Propaganda and the Upcoming 2006 Election.

TruthInAction

The rhetoric of Rabid Right Wing Radio talk show hosts is heatedly ramped up in these last few days’ run-up to the election. More and more they sound like traveling preachers at a tent meeting, pulling every power of persuasion, guilt and fervor they can out of their hat. You know it’s bad when even the Republicans are complaining about this Administration and the members of Congress! Rush Limbaugh is being besieged by email from his conservative listeners, telling him they are not going to the polls to vote in this upcoming election. Rush asked them to call in one day, turning the topic around as he is so apt to do by telling them to call and tell him why “I’m not with you.” Note the subtle switch? Rush wanted to reach them to gather information but urgently did not want to portray that his listeners were against his points of view. That sounds like a desperate tactic to me!

This past week several callers on Sean Hannity’s radio show also called up to say they were struggling with the decision to vote in the election. The Administration’s minion, who even attended a special meeting President Bush hosted at the White House, Hannity has keep his listeners glued to his show these past few weeks by featuring a GM-sponsored “You’re a Great American Car Giveaway.” How much more hand-springing will you do to reach and influence your audience, Sean?

It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there in radio media land. The Rabids, as I like to call these talk show hosts, even stretch as far back as the Clintons, putting them out again and again on the clothesline to dry. It’s tired, it’s corny and it’s so by the “Republican nasty play book.”

What on earth do the Clintons have to do with the upcoming elections in 2006, shy of Hillary’s certain senatorial win in New York? Nothing but the hope that the memory of the hateful Republican rampaged against the Clintons when they were in the White House and the threat of a President Hillary in 2008 might propel the “I’m staying home this election to protest” Republicans into the polling booths next week.

The tactics and talents of the Rabids are all very similar. Here is a mock-up job description I’ve made for a Rabid Right Wing Radio talk show host.

Wanted: Rabid Radio Talk Show Host for Right Wing-Biased Radio Station

Looking for a radio talk show host who is a died-in-the-wool Democrat-hater.
- Must be verbose and belligerent.
- Willing to cut off call-in Liberals with a single switch.
- Masterful use of persuasive commentary with religious phraseology required.
- Must be religious and anti-abortion-minded.
- Derisive laughter and snarky mockery desired.
- An unabashedly superior, authoritarian attitude earns high marks.
- We need someone who goes the extra mile by using highly edited, negative Democratic sound bites.
- Can you honor Right Wing guests with utmost “on a pedestal” reverence while attacking Liberal guests with pointed leading questions only answerable with a “Yes” or “No” that can be used against the Liberal as a “got-cha?” Than you’re the person we’re looking for!
- Willing to travel to rallies and events to rev up the Conservative masses.
- Unflattering, off the cuff impersonations an added plus.

Perhaps the reason we have so many effective Rabid Right Wing Radio hosts is that Conservative listeners are pre-disposed to responding to Authoritarian personalities, which these Rabids generally are. You can’t get a highly motivated Rabid off topic. He’ll hold on to his Right Wing viewpoint like a tick on a dog, and the listeners, who portend to be Conservatives in the majority, take their words as gospel. John Dean makes a very compelling case for Conservatives responding to (or having) an Authoritarian personality in his newest book, Conservatives Without Conscience, citing a 40-plus year long-range study by social scientists on the topic.

America needs to understand the Rabid Right Wing Radio media agenda. It isn’t the truth you’re listening to. It isn’t unbiased news. It’s propaganda, biased, slanted, and hell-bent on bending your mind in its Rabid Right Wing direction. (Of course, it isn’t just Right Wing Radio, either. You’ll find Rabid Right Wing Media in every form today. For more views on America as the most propagandized country on the planet, see Deanna Springola’s article The One World Order: Un-Fair & Un-Balanced, Part 14. )

Question what you hear on the Right Wing Radio circuit. Rabid Right Wing Radio talk show hosts want you three hours a day, day in and day out, not to give you the truth, but the truth as they see it. They want you to be their “mind robots” and take their “marching orders” as the self-appointed Authoritarian leaders they are of the twisted, biased “truth” that they dispense in their daily onslaught. The Rabids’ only agenda is to lead you into their fold and grip you in their hold. Why else would the Republican leadership have courted millions of evangelicals to vote Republican in 2004, enticing them with anti-abortion and marriage amendment promises? Many people of evangelical persuasion are used to turning their minds over to their ministers without question on these topics, believing the repercussions of sin as life everlasting in hell. “Authoritarians” as ministers? You bet. “Let me think for thee!” The Rabids on the radio have jumped on that Republican agenda band wagon, pandering to those evangelicals’ topics and boosting up the evangelical egos by calling them good “Conservatives with moral values.”

Instead, support a mantra of true mind freedom. Use your own mind to search, to judge and come to your own conclusions about the world around you - something you will not hear a Rabid radio talk show host tell you to do.

“I have a mind of my own and I think for myself.”

Ergo, I must vote Democrat!

Show your opposition to Rabid Right Wing media and vote Democrat in this urgently important upcoming 2006 election.

If Americans cannot understand that WE need redemption, then we are truly sunk!

The moral depravity, hypocrisy, and deceit of Republican politicians is sickening. A Republican sexual predator stalked the halls of Congress for years and his fellow Republican politicians protected him. Why? I don't have to tell you why, we all know why.

Because they are all doing the same thing at various times. They take pictures and video, use it against each other to ensure everyone votes lock step. Call it an ante up so no one folds. Then they trade off videos and play home theater Pee Wee's Playhouse.

Here, have some popcorn and butter.
